This reader works well but the instructions are poorly written.

I found my dog's chip easily and was able to connect to the internet and transfer the registration from my ex-wife to me. The instructions are very small and difficult to understand. To save a list of saved chip numbers to your computer, you must first open a document (e.g. Word, Notepad, Wordpad) or spreadsheet such as Excel. When the reader is connected to the USB port of the PC, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. Newly saved chip numbers are added to your open document or spreadsheet.

It does not scan 9 digit chips as the description states
