I read the reviews but thought it sounded like it was basically too long and the hair dryer trick would soften the plastic to bend or break it. Well it worked. But they are angled towards the front of the cistern. Once you break it and pull the strings, if you remember to pull the handle all the way up, you'll know it'll continue to stick and the toilet will leak. That's why I had to replace the grip in the first place because our last grip broke and it worked the whole time, what a waste of money. And I'm pretty sure they won't let me return it as I cut off some of the extra length to thread it through in the first place!
