I thought all the rave reviews should be exaggerated or paid for. After much frustration with my Fiskars circular knife which never cut properly (horrible blades from the factory) which closed by itself when I applied pressure while cutting which was a constant disappointment I decided to give it a try. Seamstress Olfa. I love this shop! Now I'm suddenly in love with disc cutters! I thought they were awful before because the one I had was awful! Now I don't want to be without this little tool anymore. Only the design is more stable. The lid mechanism cannot "pop" when cutting, as the design is much better. The blades cut MUCH better! If you sew or do fabric crafts, buy one of these. Get them for your friends who also work with fabrics. You can look at my other reviews and you can see I'm not usually just a fan of the product but this one is excellent! It's not nicer. It doesn't look as good as my old rotary cutter, but it works so much better!
