Review on VIAIR (00016) 6-Foot Portable Compressor Air Hose Extension by Eddie Man

The purpose I bought this for is to replace an old leaking hose on my 35 year old MDI/Meidai bike floor pump that I use Schrader to inflate tires manually. valve filler. This new hose has standard Schrader valve threads on both ends; a man on one end and a woman on the other. I cut off the male end I didn't need to connect to a barbed hose connector on a bike pump. The inner diameter of this new hose is 1/4 inch which is exactly what I needed and is the same as the old hose it replaces. This hose doesn't seem to specify what material it's made of, but I suspect it's a synthetic rubberized plastic that's resistant to oils and greases. The walls of the hose have no visible reinforcement braids or fibers, it is perfectly smooth and the walls are very thick. The fittings are brass and well made, I checked them first by hooking them up to each other to see if they screwed in easily and then tested the female end with Schrader valve threads on my inlet adaptor. In both cases it was easy to screw in. When I checked to see if the tube would inflate my tires, it held the pressure and pumped up my tires with no issues. At $5.60 the price of this tube was a fantastic deal compared to buying a kit or all of the individual components individually. I'm very glad I was able to benefit from it. Repairing my old bike pump is such an unpretentious, thoughtful thing to do.
