I was skeptical but these little ones worked. I was able to raise one end of the sofa by placing two jacks 12 inches apart on one end of the sofa. They elevated the couch enough that I could slide a castor under it from the other side. I then removed the bushings, placed them on the other end, and placed another furniture caster under that end of the sofa. I then used them in the same way to lift the stacked washer/dryer unit to place a roller underneath. unless absolutely necessary. Every time I used jack stands to lift, I put a piece of wood under the load. This way, if the load slips off the jack, I don't get my fingers crushed when I put the furniture caster under the load. The L-shaped lift bracket could be 2 inches longer and the base of the base is slightly larger, but they got the job done. You are worth your money!
