it looks and feels really good. The problem is that it's very light and thin. If you want something just for beauty this is perfect if you want something to keep you warm. not as much. Wind/air blows through easily, cover your face with it and you won't have any trouble breathing through it. I'm not sure what they use for the insert but if I had to guess it's a very thin foam pad. Now it looks very nice, it's very soft and nice to the touch so like I said above if you want something for the looks that's fine. If you just need a slipcover to wrap yourself up on the couch, this works too. If you live in warmer areas where it's actually not that cold, that's fine too. BUT if you want it for warmth it won't work for you.
