Media could not be loaded. The old adage "you get what you pay for" has never been truer than here. It's a cheap aluminum and plastic "tool" that has no standards of accuracy. The first thing you'll notice is that it comes in a nice hard plastic case with foam inside to keep things nice and secure. That's probably the only good thing I can say about this device. The next thing you'll notice is the total lack of any actual instructions. Yes, they come with a piece of paper with the word "instructions" printed on it, but there are literally no instructions. There are only photos and tips. And the photo of the tool doesn't even match the tool itself. The photo shows an all blue product and the slides are either upside down or upside down depending on how you actually intend to use it. If, like me, you've never used a tool like this, have fun experimenting on how to use it properly. The next thing you'll notice is the cheap plastic. Using plastic for anything precision is not a good idea. You can see the plastic spurs in my photos right in the middle where you need to align and fix the sliders to re-drill the holes. And here's the final infraction: THIS DOES NOT DRILL PRECISE REPEAT HOLES! I can skip the instructions; After all, a little common sense and you can get it right. I may not notice the plastic spurs on the slides; for I can take a sharp blade and cut off the spurs. However, I can't help but notice that it can't repeat exact holes. The reason is that the metal guides in the guides are too big for the drill! Watch the attached video and you will see what I mean. The drill bit I use is the exact size for the handle and what I used before I got this mount. The next Imperial drill will not fit in the pilot holes, so this is the drill! I have a solid aluminum and steel dowel jig that was made in America and it comes with several threaded metal guides for different size bits so you can swap them out and use different bits if needed. There is no gap between the guide and the drill used and it drills extremely precise and reproducible holes. This product allows SO BIG distance between the guide and the drill bit that it doesn't drill straight, accurate and repeatable holes. I am returning this product immediately. I'm so glad I used this mount on some cheap MDF as a test piece before using it on the finished doors. I just slowly drill holes on a bench drill, making sure each hole is accurate. I do not recommend this product at all.
