Definitely NOT airtight
These are great for organization and help maximize storage space. And they look beautiful. However, they are not intended for long-term storage. I just tossed the crackers, cereal, popcorn, pretzels, and chips in the bin...everything was rotten after being stored in those containers for a long time. If your food needs to be stored sealed I would not recommend storing it in these containers for more than 3 weeks.
