36 inches refers to the length of the belt
When we buy belts in the US, we think of waist measurement, not belt length. Well, CTM in China thinks differently. This made this belt about 4 inches smaller. Probably not her fault. I won't say I was deceived or they were crooked. I think we had a cultural misunderstanding. All my clothes and clothing accessories bought online had some problems. So I won't do it again!
