The skeg is very long. So if you're like me and spend a lot of time fishing in 1ft or less then you need to trim it like me. Mine is now about 3 inches. and still has incredibly excellent tracking. Installation basically lucky situation. No glue or anything, you have to figure it out yourself. I've used Goop Marine and 8 bolts and haven't had any leaks so far and it's safe. The amount of goop I used took 4 days to fully dry because I didn't want it to leak so I went overboard but you don't need as much as I used. My 3 star rating is mostly due to the lack of installation instructions and the size of this thing you can't use in less than 2 feet of water considering the weight of the boat and the size of the skeg. The quality of the materials of the products is excellent, I would say that a lot of use is made of it. If you're handy and creative with customization, this is a great buy.
