I didn't expect it to stand out. But it still worked. The instructions are easy once you know if you have Intel or AMD. Make sure the screws on the fan are aligned with the backplane before applying the paste. The RGB controller confused me. The instructions show you're connecting it to something, but don't know what it should be. My old stock RGB fan just got attached to the CPU fan header. When that fan didn't light up, I thought the controller was broken. It turns out that part of the instructions for connecting the controller can be omitted. Just locate the pins labeled LED CPU and plug in the second fan cable. The light works, the fan works. So far, so good. I can manage colors with the RGB 2.0 that comes with the motherboard. Xs how to explain it.
