This stuff is amazing. However, I did NOT just use the backing glue that came with the kit, I ordered a can of 3M glue but spent some time making 2 templates out of cardboard and noting how the lines went, if the edges were curved, etc. , and mirrored the right 2 sections to the left 2. It turned out AMAZING. The swim platform was so smooth before it was added. I thought it might be cheap but when I received the package I was pleasantly surprised. One roll was enough to make all 4 pieces of the swim platform and bottom hatch, but he worked to maximize the roll with the size of each piece. It's really soft, looks great, isn't slippery at all and is very easy to install. It's been running for a few months now and not a single edge gas has come up and I took these photos today. I also added some to my floor storage hatch but forgot to take a picture. I got dozens of compliments from strangers at the boat docks asking what it was and where I got it from. Everyone thinks I installed it professionally. I'm in the process of adding to my perch boat and to be honest I might completely replace the bottom of one or both boats. i love it so much I couldn't decide on a color but settled on brown and black lines as my boat is not bright white but a light cream color and I'm very glad I did. I also ordered some edging as I figured I would trim each piece to look like it was factory installed but the process wasn't what you would expect but turns out was great without it. I highly recommend this item!
