I've had quite a few PTFE-free pans over the years and I don't expect them to last for decades but they should at least retain their gliding properties. stickiness for a few years. I fry everything (eggs, hash browns, etc.) every other day and this pan started sticking after three weeks of use. I don't use abrasive cleaners, I never clean while the pan is hot, and I always use non-scratch utensils when turning or stirring things in the pan. But still the food sticks after such a short time, even with a lot of fat. I've tried the usual remedies for stuck pans: boiling water with vinegar, boiling soapy water, and then removing the residue, but to no avail. To use.
