This is a solid cleaner. It's sharp and effective. From an ergonomic point of view I prefer the Euro Cleaner (straight bar type) for most of my peeling needs like potatoes, apples and carrots and find it takes too much fruit or veg. BUT this peeler is perfect for me for peeling winter squash (acorn and nutmeg) which have tough and thick skin and need a stronger tool to remove a bit more. It's also great for shaving chocolate, cheese, carrots, etc. It's a good weight for those tasks and seems to hold up well.
