Review on ReelWorks Hand Crank Air Compressor Hose Reel (L201303A) - No Hose Included by Dave Butler

AMAZING hose reel. Instructions/how-to videos on YouTube do NOT show the difficulty of installing the hose. I used Flexzilla 3/8 hose. It might have been the unwieldy 100 foot length I was dealing with, but the way they suggest installing the hose in the video is unrealistic. Tightening the hose will preload your hose with a twist that must be removed before it is wound onto the spool. On a 100 foot roll it will be a PITA to take it out. In addition, a strut at the anti-buckling end of the spring is absolutely necessary, otherwise the spring will move away from the coupling. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, you need adapters for things to work. Not unexpected at all, so I can't dock the product anywhere. As I said, on my 100 foot Flexzilla 3/8 hose. He can EASILY reach another 50 feet. The brass swivel surprisingly doesn't leak at all. The hose is easily removed. and steerable, and with some manual control, returns neatly. Even with these small flaws I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
