Poor cores best in my review

Used it about twenty times with wet and dry soil and cannot get a nice core. Just compacts the soil in the tube. Even tried pushing the probe all the way into the ground only to have a 1” of soil stuck in the end. Maybe it needs a larger ID.

Pros

The simple, intuitive design of this tool makes it easy to use even for those with limited experience in soil sampling

Cons

May require additional components for accurate measurements
