Used it to charge a car battery (battery was on its last breath) and it worked great until we left the cabin light on and we "died" in the morning . So, through my fault, the solar panel doesn't charge the battery, especially in the evenings (for obvious reasons!). But did what was advertised, although (as mentioned by other reviews) you need to plug it into an "always on" cigarette lighter socket, not one that only gets power when the ignition is on. Anyway, we replaced the car battery and I turned the solar air conditioner into a solar charger for my iPod and LG phone. Works fantastic! It needs *full* sun (I live in Southern California) but when plugged into a car charger (with alligator chips plugged into cigarette lighter sockets) it charges 100%! I'd like to reiterate that it should be in full sun (outside on a table or at an angle to a window, not directly against the window pane), but in the right conditions it works well. Really useful little product! I'm happy with that.
