Review on πŸ“ž Advanced Big Button Speakerphone for Future Communication by Rebecca Johnson

The ringer volume is NOT LOUD. A flashing light will NOT get your attention.

Was hoping this phone would be the answer to the prayers of deaf seniors in a nursing home. The HI ring volume was a quiet electronic ring for us normal hearing people! I thought the call might be backwards flagged and tried the LOW setting. No, the LOW call was down. The phone has to be returned as my friend's mother didn't hear it ring next to her bed. She uses a sound amplifier to hear normally and he can't even answer a phone call. You must press the "Memory" button before pressing the saved autodial button. For some older people, this can be confusing. The "flashing ring light" display is a thin, red, rapidly pulsing light that doesn't draw your attention if you're not looking at your phone when it's ringing. It doesn't have the power of brightness, it's not meant to grab your attention, but to let you know that if you look at the phone, the phone is ringing. It worked with big numbers. There's a bar that grips the handset and holds it in place. You must expend some lifting energy (such as the gravitational pull of a very strong magnet) to lift the receiver from its base on a table or in a bed position. When you then pick up the receiver again, make sure to gently place it on the base.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good
