Until seeing a product like tis an an electronics video, I didn't know they existed. Cotton tips work poorly in that environment because the cotton strands get caught on the stubby electronics, leaving a mess of fuzz and destroyed *Tips. I liked the idea enough that I ordered AAWipes in three different factors.All worked well. A little alcohol and a lot of scrubbing made my boards look great. I did overuse one tip and found that it's possible to push the little plastic paddle/oar through the side of the pad where the layers meet. Once you do that, the applicator is pretty much toast. Fortunately, the sticks are priced low enough that you shouldn't have to drive them into the ground like that.In all, these are a great addition to my electronics toolbox and for miscellaneous home and mechanicsl cleanups, too. I'm glad to have learned these exist from some DIY video.
