Review on Centric 150 47024 Front Brake Hose by Gregory Sirgio

I have previously purchased Centric brake parts and have had no problems. I ordered a pair of brake hoses (Centric 150.47024 Front Brake Hose). Machining a center fitting that goes through a stud hole (through a small flange) is too large on the inner segment (between the U-clamp groove and the flange) of the fitting to fit through the hole in the flange. The difference is about 1.5 Hotsunf and this makes it difficult to get the flange through the hole to install the U-shaped clamp. The "outer" part of the flange is the correct size. Someone (or some sort of robotic lathe) machined this part on the OD and then the groove, but the ID turned out to be too large. I had to file the hose fitting to fit. It's really annoying. Also, the center flange was not installed exactly 90 degrees from its correct position. As it turned out, the flats on the fitting that engage the protrusions on the flange plate that keep the hose from rotating in the flange required twisting the hose enough to cause the hose to kink as the wheel turned. I had to file the round part of the mating flange to get it to fit properly. I'm a former certified mechanic (yes, brakes was one of my certifications and I paid for most of my PhD as a mechanic). I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing and how to analyze the problem. This is a serious security issue. When someone who just assumed everything was "right" installs this, leaving a horseshoe clamp because the hose doesn't fit properly, and/or installs with a twist on the line necessary to install the fitting there is a good chance the brake on that corner of the car would fail. I need to get this car back on the road but we'll be watching closely. This is an example of serious quality control issues. Both hoses had an issue with an oversized fitting. A center fitting was misaligned.
