I was very excited to see Corsair getting back into the air cooler market but this product was a disappointment but I think their marketing team did well many of you to promote this product a product on which I unfortunately fell victim to a hook line plumb line. This cooler is inferior to many other coolers in this price range and you can find them for $10-20 less (Noctua, Cryorig and Bequiet!). It's one thing when he's just lost in cool but lost in tone, and that's a real insult. It uses smaller fans and when they reach a medium speed it's very distracting. For reference, I have a Cooler Master H500M case, which consists of two glass panels on the sides and one on top. This amount of glass usually insulates well, this cooler doesn't mind. When it's necessary to go high, which will happen when you overclock an 8-core processor, it's like listening to a small airplane trying to take off from your desk. I disabled core overclocking on my Ryzen 3800X. The rails are good, easy to assemble, well packaged and the pre-applied thermal paste is really done right. It has its merits, but massive power and terrible sound, I think two stars is a fair rating for it. I will continue to use it, but I had to resort to the tried and true noctua. I hope Corsair takes good notes because they will end up with a very good product once they start refining it. Tldr: Use Noctua or Cryorig, they are cheaper and work better in thermals and tone. For a detailed performance analysis of this cooler, I recommend Steve Burke's review from Gamers Nexus at YT.
