Review on Compact Gikfun Mini DC 6V to 12V R385 Water Cooled Water Pump: Efficient Air Diaphragm Pump EK1856 by Jacqueline Lewis

Bought two. One is used for the Ato pump. For that it works very well. I used a 6v power supply to reduce the flow rate on both. The other is used on the hob overflow to service the siphon. They are very quiet in use. The little noise they make blends in with the rest of the noise in the aquarium. I connect a piece of 5/16 latex tubing to it. It stays very well connected to the pump ports. One star deducted due to lack of contact at the pump. If it had spikes it would be 5 stars. I've had them for a few months now, but they don't always work. So I'm not sure how they will hold up with constant work. **Update: They are definitely not for permanent use. I had three failures while working non-stop in a saltwater aquarium. I have a fourth that is the pump for my ATO. Everything fine, has been in operation for almost a year. But he probably doesn't work more than 15 minutes a day. And pumps fresh water. It's time to find another solution to salt water.
