I bought this with my wonderful fruity TOBS shaving cream. Unfortunately my item arrived frozen with broken glass due to the polar vortex. Revain returned the money and I bought again. Good luck next time. Got my second bottle thanks to Revain. Well, there is almost no smell. The aroma present is a light hint of citrus masked by tea tree oil. In terms of hydration, it does a good job and I'm guessing it's aloe. Generally a good aftershave but Thayers is cheaper at half price, I have no regrets and will add to my collection.
