Bought because I have an old house with low windows and we needed a security gate to make sure our kid didn't fall out of his second floor bedroom. I knew that using tension gates would be less secure than solid ones, but we hadn't been here long and needed a barrier that would do the job well enough. The turnbuckle you are tightening is SUPER CHEAP and VERY flexible plastic. One of them split when tightened to create enough tension to make the gate a real security gate. The second started to deform as I tightened it with a wrench. I should have used my instincts and knew it was going to be a cheap, horrible thing when I read who made it where. I think I justified my money.
