My 5 year old son is an only child so I'm always looking for ways to entertain him. He loves watching cartoons and playing games on his tablet as many children do, but I would prefer him to play with toys that require him to use his imagination. So when I got the chance to test this item in exchange for my honest review, I figured I'd love it. This 50 piece Dog Academy Playset is like nothing I've ever seen. It is evident that the designer put a lot of effort into creating this set. You will receive a total of 15 dogs with this set and these are as follows: 2 German Shepherds = one standing and the other jumping with a bone in its mouth 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs = 1 adult + 2 puppies 3 Golden Retrievers = 1 adult + 2 puppies 2 Dalmatians = one standing one lying down 2 collies = one standing and one sitting 3 corgis = 1 adult + 2 puppies You will receive 3 kennels and 2 dog beds - one bed is shaped for a dalmatian to lie down and the other is small so perfect for puppies. Also includes a full skill course with ramp, jump bar and hoop hoops. . The tire hoop is too small for adult dogs which is a bit disappointing as I originally thought a jumping German Shepherd was meant to jump over it. But his head is too big so only puppies can go through the hoop. Now let's talk about accessories! This set includes 3 dog food bowls, 3 water bowls, grooming supplies, assorted treats, frisbees, dog toys, decorations and even 2 food scoops! The only criticism I have of accessories is that it would be great if dogs could actually interact with them. For example, it would be great if they could fit them in a dog's mouth. But your child just needs to use their imagination, which I think is the whole point. My son loves having dogs run around the agility course and seeing how many dogs he can fit in houses. Overall, the detail of the dogs and accessories is amazing. I would recommend this toy for children aged 4+ as the parts are very small and could be a choking hazard. Also, you can keep all the parts in a plastic bag so you don't lose them. A great gift for any child who loves dogs.
