I'm a girl. I buy men's shoes from time to time, there were always 5 men and 7 women. They are the right length BUT my goodness they are snug on the toes. I made the laces very loose and it didn't even matter. They might loosen up after long wear, but I rarely have a "break" in shoes. I don't know if the score would have helped in my particular case, because then they would have slipped out. I don't have very narrow feet, but I don't buy wide shoes, so I don't know why. If you have a skinny leg, this might work for you.
