Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Enhanced SEO: Litcessory 6-Pin to Cut-End Connector for Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus (4 Pack, White - MICRO 6-PIN V4) by Terrance Palau

Worked fine for V4 Lightstrip but NOT with Litcessory V3 instructions

I read other reviews on here about unstable behavior and bought them with some trepidation. When I opened the box, however, I found well-designed connectors that looked *exactly* like the (half) cut off connector that Philips includes in the box. I then went to YouTube to understand how the Philips cutoff connector works and noticed that it is completely different from Litcessory's instructions. After some more research, I've come to the conclusion that Litcessory's instructions apply *ONLY* to V3 light bars that are not intended to be cut. With the V4 you have to use them the same way you would use a Philips device: 1. *DO NOT* cut open the plastic casing first. You want to keep it completely.2. Cut along the cutting line, *NOT* at the tips of the soldier. (Doing the latter will not place the soldier in the correct spot for the pins on the cut end of the V4.) The blocks will come apart easily and you now have a "gap" flanked by a plastic cover on both pages.3 . Insert the entire assembly with the cut end into the connector, including all of the plastic housing and even the unpeeled bead of glue. This additional material provides the appropriate pin pressure on the soldier's goggles.4. Close the connector with the cut end. I didn't need pliers, I had enough hands. The pressure of the plastic case does the rest. Using the above steps (again, check out the video on YT if you can) literally took me a minute to use two of these to connect a 6ft light strip into two connected 3ft segments. via Litsesor cable. It worked perfectly on the first try and worked perfectly for more than 2 days after installing it. I didn't mess around with the adapter. I confess: maybe I was lucky or got an revision, unlike some others here. But I'm also glad I didn't follow the instructions on the Litcessory page for the product, as I was expecting unreliable connections (either the soldier points don't match, or there isn't enough pressure between the soldier points and the pins). If anything changes, I'll definitely get back to you.
