Cheaply made but no Hue alternatives so you're stuck

I ordered these to cut and splice multiple Hue light strips for stair lights. Some of them were broken or defective and just generally of poor quality. I wish they would have spent as much on the product as they did on the fancy packaging. The clips that hold both soldered contacts and spliced terminals are on the verge of snapping when clipped and they still don't hold each pin tight enough to always make contact. For $4 a piece on top of the cost of Hue and other Litcessory extension cordsโ€ฆ

Good Concept, Poor Execution

Some Points to Consider.1. Check each element for deformation before installation.2. The middle connector is green. If you have a clamp connector, the pressure will always be on the edge, with the weakest in the middle. Guess which middle part is green, so there's a good chance the green is the problem. No matter how diligent and careful you cut, splice, file, you will end up with this problem half the time. Yes soldering is the best way but you bought this so skip this part.4. If you plan onโ€ฆ

I would choose a different brand if I had a choice.

There is no other alternative so you are stuck. If you follow their YouTube instructions and push the pins up, you have a good chance of dislodging the block, causing the connectors to dislodge or breaking the internal connection points. I ordered 4 to use 3 now I have to order a 2nd set. In addition, to connect the light strip to the adapter, you must be careful to remove only one part. The pins are *only* small so they don't stick at all. (Any slight sideways movement and the connector willโ€ฆ

Still needs soldering

I bought these hoping to avoid soldering to adjust the light shading strips. That didn't happen. If you're reading this, save yourself the headache and solder the connections. The rest of my little things were good and met the needs, but these only caused frustration and wasted time. Of the connectors I received, one was soldered so tightly that I had no problems, all the others have at least one loose connection. I spent hours trying to figure out why my connection to the strip was loose, then

Not enough pressure on the center pins

This is a great concept but there isn't enough pressure on the two center pins, the clip that should be applying pressure on all six pins only has a good conductive contact to the outer pins, even after making sure they are installed with pliers. After following the instructions on T (using pliers to squeeze the fitting as instructed) one of the LEDs did not work. After reading a schematic online, I found that an LED of a certain color is being driven by one of the center pins on the ribbonโ€ฆ

Great use if you have technical skills

I bought this plug (should it really be called an adapter?) along with a number of other items from the same range for an under a closet home lighting project. in our kitchen for my wife. We chose Philips Hue Lightstrips, but the length of the base and extensions didn't match the bottom of our cabinets. As a result, cutting the light strips was a requirement of the project and my research identified the Litcessory range as an alternative to soldering the cut ends. While this product and itsโ€ฆ

Exactly what we were hoping for

We're so glad we found them Philips Hue light strips are expensive and if you cut them in half you'll want to use the other half. These connectors worked exactly as promised. We read the instructions and watched videos about it before purchasing and again before installing. I was afraid we'd screw it up and end up with a useless $60 light bar, but if you have basic renovation skills, this shouldn't be a problem at all. Tools needed: Razor blade, needle nose pliers and cutting board (which isโ€ฆ

Works easily in ceiling lights

If you're installing a Philips Hue strip light and want the light disruption to spread elsewhere, there's nothing better than these adapters from Litcessory. I bought them based solely on these reviews (and mostly due to the lack of "official" and a few other unofficial extension cord options that weren't just another light strip). There's no doubt that they work and are almost as easy as advertised. So if this is the project you have planned, look nowhere else. the longest cupboard in ourโ€ฆ

Worked fine for V4 Lightstrip but NOT with Litcessory V3 instructions

I read other reviews on here about unstable behavior and bought them with some trepidation. When I opened the box, however, I found well-designed connectors that looked *exactly* like the (half) cut off connector that Philips includes in the box. I then went to YouTube to understand how the Philips cutoff connector works and noticed that it is completely different from Litcessory's instructions. After some more research, I've come to the conclusion that Litcessory's instructions apply *ONLY* to
