Great use if you have technical skills

I bought this plug (should it really be called an adapter?) along with a number of other items from the same range for an under a closet home lighting project. in our kitchen for my wife. We chose Philips Hue Lightstrips, but the length of the base and extensions didn't match the bottom of our cabinets. As a result, cutting the light strips was a requirement of the project and my research identified the Litcessory range as an alternative to soldering the cut ends. While this product and its siblings are definitely easier than soldering, they have their own technical complexities and are not a plug and play solution as the instructions state. On the advice of another review I read, I used a fresh razor blade, block, and rubber mallet to cut the strips instead of scissors, and I strongly encourage you to do the same. look perfect visually, but still can't make a solid connection for all six elements on the strip - you don't realize that until you turn the strip on. Sometimes I had to fiddle around a bit and one of the connectors wouldn't connect properly no matter how hard I tried. Luckily, I planned on having them in abundance, so that didn't stop me from completing my project. Overall, the product does exactly what it says on the tin, allowing you to cut and reconfigure Hue Lightstrips without the hassle of soldering. Just plan carefully and give yourself enough time and you will get a great result!
