I have this HOTIME Chef Knife - 8.5 inch Kitchen Knife Razor Sharp Kitchen Knife - German High Carbon Stainless Steel - Shark Shaped Pen with Gift Box, Sliver came out recently and used it that same evening and it's amazing. So this is a great knife, I used it to cut boneless chicken breasts into chicken tenders and it sliced through them quickly. Cut them out like they never existed, very sharp right out of the box. It's made of carbon steel and I like the fact that it's rust resistant. It is also very light and well balanced. It comes in a very nice gift box and makes a great gift. My only minor complaint: I wish it came with a sheath, it's so sharp if you put it in a drawer you definitely have to remember it's there. All in all a great knife, very sharp and well made. This knife should last a long time. I would recommend it.
