I use this printer for basic household purposes. Regularly print a few times a month and also scan all my incoming paper documents to archive and go paperless, so I scan almost daily: invoices, IRS docs, payslips, contracts, everything. This is the cheapest printer I could find with a duplex single pass scanner, so I ordered it. I'm impressed with this printer because it has two features that I didn't expect: - Internal OCR. When scanning to PDF, it can make them searchable, which is great. - Customizable UI with MANY options (but you must be tech savvy). I customized the front screen to add 4 quick scan buttons. When I click on one of these, it scans with the correct settings and the scanned PDF file is sent directly to my computer (I used FTP, but you can also use Windows file sharing, SMB). It's really convenient! I just put the documents in the ADF, press the desired button and that's it. Then all I have to do is rename the file and save it to my storage. The attached photo shows my customized home screen. Printing works well, as does duplex printing, which is a must for saving paper and trees. Very happy with this purchase!
