Review on Graco TrueCoat 360 Blue/White Paint Sprayer by Charles Mistretta

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use. Ideal for acoustic ceilings. Frequent replenishment. Easier to use than the Graco Magnum X7.

I have painted several rooms with this sprayer and I love it. In my opinion this is NOT a time saver. It forms a cloud of spray paint in the air, so careful camouflage and ground protection are really important (as is personal protective equipment, by the way). When you're done with all of that, sometimes it's easier to just use brushes and rollers. However, I can't think of anything better for those terribly bumpy, dry, cracked acoustic ceilings that so many of us have. They're quick to apply with this little sprayer, and they look absolutely amazing with fresh paint (they're not very sonic with fresh paint, but they definitely look a lot better). While rollers and brushes can be faster on most surfaces, they apply a good coat of smooth, professional-looking paint that's worth the extra prep and spray time. If you find yourself in a situation where you don't need to cover things up, then this atomizer will definitely be a quick and easy accomplice. And yes, it sprays upside down as they say. He really worked like a champion. It's not very heavy even when fully loaded. I'm a bit of a nerd and had no problem making ceilings and taller walls. You simply hold the trigger with one hand and support the paint canister with the other hand. I also really like that you don't have to clean it when you use it again the next day. It's as simple as twisting the tip 90 degrees and then, phew, you're done for today. There are a few things I don't like. First, you'll need to refill it fairly often when painting large areas. I mean large areas. Wall. Gas station is relatively easy but you have to go through the gas station dance every time and it gets dirtier and dirtier with each gas station. I also have problems with the paint cup. It's just too big for people with small hands to flip it on and off, and I had a few splashes as a result. The final issue is that the atomizer moves a lot of air when working, so you need to make sure whatever you've masked is actually glued securely. Otherwise, this sprayer will blow it out of the way and spray a heap of paint where you don't need it before you even know it's happening. Before this small handheld wholesaler, I had a Graco Magnum X7. The installation and purification rituals were ridiculously incomprehensible and tedious. Although the X7 was a little easier to handle, battling the unruly paint hose made it very heavy and unwieldy. This little hand held sprayer is far more versatile and gets to all the places the X7 has been at a fraction of the cost. Much easier to use and clean, the 360 is much smaller and easier to store away when not in use.
