Our basement has a partial subsoil from which odors come due to an improperly installed plastic barrier. The edges have moved away from the wall. We laid down another sheet of plastic and used vapor barrier tape to secure the plastic to the cement wall. The ribbon is wide, which makes sewing easier and allows you to pull the ribbon in place with a large ribbon. It adheres well to cement. Second day and no smell. We definitely recommend it.
