Review on OATEY Quiet 38600 Absorber Copper by Jeffrey Crutcher

I bought 2 of these to put in the washing machine. The first fit perfectly, no leaks. The second had a much smaller washer on the bib of the female hose. I tried multiple times to get it to stop but nothing worked. I replaced the washer with the standard hose washer I had and the leaks stopped. These two devices had to be manufactured in two different factories. The quality and finish on one was much better than the other. After a month I tried putting 2 on the cold water line to stop the hammer. Still hammering line even at 2. This reduced the hammer but didn't stop it.
