Review on Scanner Epson Perfection V19 black by Adam Chyliski ᠌

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I am very upset, the product is no good.

In general, the model stuck in the 90s-2022s in terms of its parameters, except that the lamp was changed to LED and the power consumption was reduced, which made it possible not to use additional power sources other than USB. I'm surprised you get so many positive reviews. Probably for many who wrote reviews, this scanner was the first in their lives. then you can still understand.

Pros
  • Didn't see! Maybe the price?
Cons
  • It seems that the improvement of stand-alone scanners stopped 10-15 years ago. Neither in terms of scanning speed, nor in terms of quality, I noticed a big increase, rather, on the contrary, the scanner began to look like a cheap craft with a primitive drive, with terrible noises and gnashing like an unlubricated cart. No traces of optimization, to increase the speed of scanning, for example, why not scan both in the forward and reverse movement of the carriage? Or at least make its reverse move faster? Those. the page is scanned and you still need to wait for the head to return to its original position in order to scan the next one. The scanner of even the cheapest modern MFP now has the best performance, and even often with a double-sided feeder. I would especially like to note the buggy and inconvenient software. It was written either a very long time ago for Windows XP, slightly "undermined" for the model, or with the left foot, not at all solid for a self-respecting company. After the last Windows ate, it generally began to freeze tightly, and in order to restore its work, you have to restart the computer. The only way to connect USB 2.0 (there is no network connection, neither wired nor wireless, which is rather strange in our time, when almost irons are already capable of this)
