Well, I really liked the fountain, as it was so small cute and QUIET which is why I thought my kitties would like to drink fresher water from it. That didn't happen as my girl is pretty old 18 yrs so she wasn't interested. My boy is younger at 8 yrs- and he did drink from it. I bought is mostly for the older kitty as her kidneys need more water and she doesn't drink enough water (Who does ?) so it didn't work in my case however, I would recommend to start your kitties younger to get used to the fountains.I also noticed that the flat super shallow surface area may have been a turn off for them both.It is NOT like a deep water bowl feel.Not sure but it seems as though they didn't like that
