I'm not a mechanic to begin with. There are some things I don't mind taking apart and putting back together, but when it comes to cars I don't mind. So if I can do it, I'm sure you can too. Like many others, I got tired of the "flapping" of the hood, especially on very windy days. It took me a while to install them. It was uncomfortable at first because of the weather, then when I tried to remove the grille some of the clips were so old that they became brittle and broke. Yes, I've seen some YouTubers use a swivel on their socket, but I found out a long time ago that it's a good way to break your joints. Do yourself a favor, buy some <a href="https://amazon.com/gp/product/B06XRDHC2W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1">clamps</a> , remove the grill and you're done. the right way. I just took my time and so far so good. The first thing you'll notice is that they're ready to use right out of the box. Second, how strong. I have to tell you they are impressive and looked beautiful once installed. They're also easier to remove than the originals, which I know because I forgot the gasket on the first one I installed. :) However, I deducted a star because it's a replacement kit, but I ended up reusing some of the old hardware. Just about every installation manual recommends using factory nuts, and when you compare them it's easy to see why. To make matters worse, there's a rubberized nylon piece that goes over the bottom latch, which isn't included. I noticed that some of the videos don't mention this, but there is definitely a place to put new ones that should hide the old stain that would otherwise be visible. Not only is it annoying that it's supposed to be included, but the color has definitely faded. The good news is that it's mostly hidden, so most won't see it. However, I kept thinking what if the original didn't exist? I think you need to light the place as much as possible and refrain from it. I took it for a test run. It wasn't very windy today so I reserve the right to go back and edit this. I simulated this as best I could by driving onto the freeway and accelerating. Well, hopefully soon enough (at least it's Sunday and there was very little traffic). I have not seen, nada, zero flutter! I'm sure things are going to get choppy around here this week so we'll definitely see. By the way, I can't stress enough how cool they look. I even posted a photo of one of them on Instagram.
