Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Milescraft 4004 Pocketclamp - Top-Notch Right Angle Clamp for Flawless Pocket Hole Joinery, 4-inch by Kholar Irvine

Doesn't work with all pocket holes

The problem I had, along with many other reviewers, is that the clip works well on some board gauges, but not all. . let me explain. The 2x4 has a fairly large volume. The clamp clamps at a 15 degree angle made by Kreg mounts. Due to the thickness of the 2x4, the clip will sit right on the edge/corner of the bottom of the 2x4. As more clamping force is applied, the clamp will slip and become unusable. With thinner panels, the pocket hole side of the clamp and the flat side of the clamp are closer together, resulting in less horizontal spacing between the clamping faces. Larger boards push the edges of the clamp further apart, creating more horizontal spacing between the clamping faces, which in turn prevents proper clamping. . I'd say it's better to use corner clips than this style (or even Kreg) as they consistently and easily lock your 2 pieces at 90 degree angles. Local Danger costs them pretty cheap.
