I hate leaving bad reviews on products when the sellers are working so hard to create something. I don't usually write a bad review unless I had a terrible experience or the seller wanted my opinion, in which case the seller wanted a review. I wanted to use this to solder jump rings to jewelry. The clips for holding things are great and hold things very securely. The light needs to be brighter and bigger in scope, it's just too small and not bright enough. A magnifying glass cannot be used for soldering as it does not actually magnify. I'm 41 and my eyesight isn't that good anymore so I asked my 12 year old daughter to use it and see if she could see soldering a piece of jewelry and she couldn't see either. It reminds me of one of those children's magnifying glasses. I need to buy another magnifier and light to use this product. Also, it's hard at the top. I have the screw part that attaches it to the base as tightly as possible, but it keeps tipping. I'm attaching a picture of how big a magnifying glass can magnify something. The left half of the drawing shows what the ruler actually looks like, while the right half is under a magnifying glass.
