This product is of rather poor quality but for the price I can give a few stars. 2 main issues: The base isn't wide enough to stand on and the hinges are complete chinese junk. You won't even get real butterfly nuts. I ended up throwing the magnifying glass away as the hinges couldn't even support its weight to keep it from falling. I only use it to hold wires together for soldering, otherwise this suction cup would be useless. Damn, I wish the clothespins were glued to the popsicle stick.

If you're looking for a new paperweight, you've found what you're looking for! The only acceptable part of this device is the weighted base. With a single light application, an arm fell off and shortly thereafter the magnifying glass came loose. Thin metal like paper is joined together with the foresight to add texture to the mating surfaces to keep them from falling apart. Would definitely return if I originally needed/used it within the return period. STAY OUTSIDE!

These are just the "helping hands" I needed for several projects. but with a few caveats. 1) The base should be heavier; even with nothing held in the brackets, it is very easy to tip the entire unit over. 2) braces have dangerously sharp teeth; If they don't eat a piece of their finger, they'll scratch what they're holding.
