Failed to load media. I like my custom cage! It was easy to assemble (with 2 people) and I was pretty good at handling it on my own when I had to take parts apart and put them back together. When putting it together I doubted it would work, but when the cover was added it turned out to be pretty solid. I made a paludarium out of styrofoam and silicone. I even messed up, ripped and started over and it was very easy to clean and remove the foam and silicone from the plastic and glass. Humidity stays at 40-50% even with substrate and large water element. I use a humidifier to get the humidity up to 80-90%, but it drops back to 50 once the humidifier is turned off. Keeps you warm too! And there are slots in the lid that you can thread the wires through (about 8 in total). The temperature stays between 70 and 100 where the lightbulb is. The entire housing is cooled down to 70-80 at night with just ONE radiant heater bulb. This is a great starter aquarium for a large reptile. When my lizard grows to 2.5 feet I will redesign the aquarium to increase the vertical and horizontal space and create an egg laying box. I intend to keep this enclosure for the rest of my Chinese water dragon. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Stand sold separately. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
