Very useful for DIY or repair work
Purchased to detect moisture in a plaster wall due to a water main leak. Very useful for measuring the severity of a leak as well as the size of the area on a given wall. The measurement is a fairly consistent movement between different materials or locations in our home and not random, which I've heard is a problem with cheaper gauges.
