I screwed this right into my factory wiring harness. The handle only works a tiny fraction of a turn before it is full. The range is so small that I cannot adjust it while driving. I took the dash apart to see if adjusting the output controls would improve it. Using the included plastic screwdriver, the left channel felt very odd. I looked inside, there was no traffic controller. In any case, the adjustment did not change the operation of the handle. The worst thing is that it grew to my suspension. If I replace it now, I have to cut the wires as close to the device as possible and screw the new connector into the spliced wires. Went from a clean install to a very unprofessional install. I emailed Scosche about the gain knob before I realized the knob was broken and I still haven't heard from them.
