Doesn’t stick and doesn’t lay flat

I was extremely excited to use this contact paper to redo the look of my coffee table. I’ve used contact paper in the past, but this stuff just would not lay flat. After about an hour of attempting to smooth out all the wrinkles, I propped the table up to set while I did the legs. The paper slid RIGHT OFF.I threw it away. Disappointing.
