Review on Mobile air conditioner Electrolux EACM-13HR/N3, white by Petar Dushanov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

This information i have given above is available no where else and is insanely important for the well being of the user using this ac , the ac is lovely provided you know how to open it up and clean it , if you dont then its a horrible choice which will just give you a headache and nasal congestion and sore throat. One last issue i have with this ac is , its as expensive as a ac which is not portable so i expected them to use the same coolant as hitachi (it makes a difference in the type of cold you get , this is abrasive and hurtful while the hitachi coolant is fresh and can be used 24/7)

Pros
  • 1. When you first buy it , this is a very good ac , it works on the slots in a hostel also and doesnt trip the extension board , It cools to the degree of -10 in a fully hot day , The water excreted is around 1 bucket every 6 hours again under a very hot day 2. portability is lovely and the construction is also great 3. It cools and heats so its like a two in one buy (not really , read more to understand why)
Cons
  • 1. The plastic outlet/exhaust for the hot/cold air (depending on what function your using) is leaky and radiates heat on a extremely hot day and this semi defeats the purpose of this air conditioner , this means the degree of temperature drop is dramatically affected, you either have to buy those new metal mesh ones or like me take a aluminum foil and wrap it around the plastic one and then seal it in place with gold foiled tape or aluminum tape. 2. The machine as i said is very well built , almost like the manufacturer has given zero thought on how to clean the machine , this is why i reduced a star in the rating for this ac, after around 1 months of usuage a very foul smell started coming from the ac and this lead to suffocation and bronchospasm and congestion , please understand i regularly cleaned the dust filters but this smell was ingrined into the cooling fins and the blower of this ac (it has two blowers/brushes , the blue colored ones , which also need to be cleaned if you want the smell to go , ) This is only possible by opening up the ac completely (unscrew all of the screws , its doable when you know how but i found next to zero reviews or details for this model and the service guy said it would cost 2500 per service which compelled me to do this on my own . In the process of dismantling the front cover and the back cover i ended up breaking some of the plastic bolts but i believe it was inevitable and unavoidable and the repair guy would have pretty much done the same
