Although highly absorbent, its absorbency makes it sticky and difficult to use. Size 12 x 12 is also not very efficient. Imagine drying yourself off with a rag after you shower. The cleaning instructions are such that you cannot use bleach or fabric softener. We love our sanitized tea towels with laundry bleach. If you want to run a separate load in the washer and dryer just for them, I don't think that's a problem, but it's worth the extra time and resources. We were intrigued by the description, but in actual use we would not recommend this product.
