The guy in the photo must have a tiny pinhead!

No looseness at all. My hat is 7 3/8" and fits snugly with no room at the top. The color is an ugly red, not the maroon in the picture. Also, the "red" color on the straw hat logo patch is more pink. I expected paying $5 or less for it at Walmart definitely not worth $17!
