Review on Mademax Solar Bird Bath Fountain Pump - 4 Nozzle Free Standing Floating Solar Water Fountain For Garden, Pond, Pool & Outdoor by Jason Rawls

A little effort required

Pretty fountain. Serves its purpose. Smaller than I anticipated, but that’s ok, I just put it in the smaller birdbath. Be prepared to use the correct spout for the size of your birdbath or koi pond. The larger spouts spray water out of the birdbath and drain the water. Also, the water tends to evaporate at a faster rate when the foundation is in it. If you’re ok with refilling the birdbath each morning and late afternoon, this is a lovely feature to have. Another thing: the fountain doesn’t stay in one place, and tends to gravitate to the side of the birdbath and/or koi pond. I simply put a small circle of rocks in the birdbath that kept it in place, and refill the birdbath with fresh water in the am and pm when I water my garden (helps keep mosquitoes and slime away). Side note: if you get Mosquito Dunks, the small granules tends to get stuck in the fountain spout. I just took off the spout and pressure washed out the granules, algae, and slime with my hose. This is def. not a "set-it-and-forget-it” product, but it is lovely and shoots pretty high when under direct sun. If you’re willing to put the work in, for the price, it’s worth the effort. Also: the more cloud coverage, the less powerful the water spout.
