I don't know why others said it doesn't slip down to my knees when opened? Maybe your sofa was too far from the table and/or it wasn't fully extended? Mine also arrived damaged. When I get a refund through Amazon Customer Service (warrantyquestions@amazon.com), you see a five star rating! You didn't think it would be damaged when you saw how it was packaged! It really was so well packaged that there wasn't a single bruise on the box, either inside or out. It seems it was damaged before it was put in the boxes? I can't find a way to contact the seller. Maybe it's on purpose or my mistake? I tried to cancel this order shortly after placing it because I was thinking about all the negative reviews, but it was too late. Arrived very quickly. The price and features of this table are very attractive. That's a good table. If you decide to take the risk and get it, all the best to you. Maybe you'll get a blemish as a gift. I didn't mention how easy it was too easy to put together. You can do this without instructions as there weren't any. I heard a crack as I tightened the two screws. Part of the frame began to come loose. I hope it doesn't fall apart in this area. UPDATE: A few days past a week - the small screws holding the metal lift bracket to the tree started popping out. I noticed that many of them could not be tightened and seemed loosely attached. I replaced most with longer ones, I would replace them all if I had enough screws on hand. This is actually something that needs to be addressed as well. I emailed customer service and they added a feature to my orders that allows me to call them from the Revain app. This app won't download on my phone so it doesn't work properly. I found the number in my missed calls list and called them back. Then I got my compensation. Partial refund or alternative shipping will be offered. I was also told that they would consider all of these negative reviews and figure out what was wrong with the delivery of the defective item. You might want to check with them if they have fixed this issue before placing an order. 02/16/2021 UPDATE: Still like the last picture and swapped out the longer screws so the tabletop still holds. Found the baskets at Michael's. They fit perfectly and should be inserted from the top as the one I chose was too big to slip out.
