Review on 🌳 Large Mopani Wood by Zoo Med Laboratories, 16-18 Inches by Katherine Treadwell

Beautiful, heavy (sinks in the aquarium) tree in light (as shown) and dark (almost black) colours. I like the contrasts, but others might not, and the picture doesn't show the possible dark coloring that could be on the driftwood part (both of my pieces were dark on most undersides). I like this for my RES tank. turtles love it. Just make sure you boil it (or at least soak it for a long time and rinse it) to try to remove any tannins (the yellow color that stains the water) if you use it for an aquarium. Also, tannins are said to be able to change the pH of the water if you have sensitive fish or critters, but if you're cooking it I wouldn't worry too much about that. If the water turns yellow, just change it more often until the wood stops leaking.
